More testimonials for Republic Resumes

During the virus, Republic Resume has been inundated with a large number of enquiries. The best reply to those who ask about our results, are the testimonials by former clients.

Unfortunately, there’s some bad news too. But first…

The good news

“I was fortunate enough to work with Malcolm last year in updating my resume for graduate employment. Pleased to let you know that based off our work together, I got four job offers from some highly sought after programs (Westpac Group, BHP, GHD and The Detmold Group).” Ben now works for Westpac in Adelaide.

“Thanks for your brilliant resume, it was excellent.” Amanda, Wollongong.

“Thanks to your brilliant resume, I was able to secure a job before the virus hit, so I’m safe for now.” John, Adelaide.

“Thank you so much for your assistance with the resume. I really appreciate it – it looks fantastic!!” Ashley, Senior HR partner, Adelaide.

The bad news

For reasons which defy explanation, a handful of clients still come to us wanting help to get a job or a new job.

Then they break deadlines (often the first one), don’t reply to our emails and don’t return our calls.

They were given the terms and conditions and reminded twice by email before we start that keeping deadlines is critical, especially as we have a full client list. Remember, they came to us.

I wrote about this in a previous blog and made some changes to the terms and conditions.

I’m figuring some don’t read the T&Cs. I’m also figuring they don’t much care about deadlines. They’ve got no skin in the game.

Consider what sort of employees they would make. Their commitment would be perfunctory. They’d be late to work, they couldn’t manage projects or perform under time pressure.

Employers don’t want them and I don’t want them either.

I will profile these time wasters and consider what action to take in the next two weeks.
