I’m taking a small break for a couple of weeks. I will be back on deck on Monday, 16 March, 2020.

I still keep my hand in as a journalist and I’m having a working holiday in Sri Lanka.

I’m writing a story on ocean plastics for the Asian media. The amount of plastics in the ocean has quadrupled in the last ten years.

We ingest micro-plastics from fish. The west coast of Sri Lanka gets hit hard from the prevailing westerly currents and the beaches are littered with coke bottles and other junk.

I will also be chilling out by resort pools, walking through the forests and eating delicious fresh food. Sorry. Not a resume or cover letter will be written.

Thanks to those eagle-eyed commentators who note that the website is ranking like a ‘lead balloon’ or a ‘brass turd’.

HA! These problems will be fixed in the next four weeks.
