Latest from Republic Resumes

Time to update the Republic blog on the jobs front.

My apologies for the spree of the economic news stories – once a reporter, etc. Some of the stories I rewrote from the SMH, online specialist news and my own sources.

I wanted to give readers a feel of the gravity and complexity of the jobs situation.

Fear not! Recessions always abate – even virus-induced recessions – because human ingenuity finds a way to keep the economy rolling along.

It will be tough until Christmas and the first two quarters of the new year.

Hang in there!!

Republic is being hit by a large number of new clients and returning former clients, who have lost their jobs due to the shutdown or knock-on effects.

Some may know that I occasionally use two professional writers to help me out. They’re former recruiters and friends (yes, it’s possible) and they’re working at the top of their game.

The problem is that when they help me, I also have to help them.

The best way to contact me is not to call the mobile but to send an email and attach your old/current resume. It comes across the screen as I write. I will get back to you within a couple of hours.

Because of the workload, we are not accepting clients who are career changers.
