I write individually crafted and professional resumes for clients in Adelaide and Canberra.
As a professional resume writer, I focus is on strong and persuasive content. I concentrate on qualitative and quantitative results, as these are what employers want.
Every resume is unique. I don't use templates. Clients can get those on the Internet. Too much time and money is spent on elaborate designs for resumes, which, more often than not, can't be opened or stored by employers or recruiters.
I look for unique selling points in the drafting process and highlight them in the resume. People frequently take their experience, skills and capabilities for granted as they perform them everyday.
I highlight those qualities because they give you an edge over other candidates. They can be personal, professional or educational experience.
I use the latest branding and communication techniques to get clients in the ‘must interview’ pile. This includes the use of key words. A resume is a story - a unique marketing document. It's the story of why an employer must pick you.
The final resume is sent to the client in Word (which they can update) and as a PDF.
Depending on the sector or industry, my resumes are short listed approximately 65-70 per cent of the time.
