Malcolm King started Republic Resume while head of the writing programs at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1997. He launched Republic in Adelaide in 2007 and recently launched the resume writing business in Canberra.
He has worked for the Department of Employment, Education and Workplace Relations in Canberra (DEEWR) as an Associate Director in Labour Market Strategy.
He is one of the top ten resume, CV and cover letter writers in Australia.
Malcolm helped write and promote many of the Australian Government’s job seeker initiatives and he also worked in the Australian Government’s Career Advice service (Canberra).
He knows where the jobs are in Adelaide and Canberra and how to get short-listed.
He was a senior lecturer in writing at RMIT and taught professional writing, journalism and public relations.
As a journalist, Malcolm writes regularly for InDaily (Adelaide) on issues such as unemployment, generational change, financial education and recruitment. His stories on algorithmic technology and creativity have appeared in The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald.
He has written more than 2500 resumes and is a member of Career Directors.
He has a Masters degree in Education (Organisational Systems) and degrees in Journalism and Political Science.
